The Results of Urban Sprawl on Metropolitan Detroit
Uploaded by : Essays-Now.com
This 9 page paper discusses the difficulties developers and environmentalists have in agreeing on the problems of urban sprawl in Detroit. The writer argues that people who believe that sustainable cities are a workable concept also believe that such cities will include enough protections to make the concept viable. Environmentalists argue, however, that as long as people continue to spread out from the core of the city, and as long as development continues, there is no way the idea of sustainability can measure up to its claims of renewable resources and wildlife protection.
