Overweight Children

It is no secret that a large percentage of the American population is overweight or obese. The tragedy is that a large proportion of children and adolescents are obese. Descriptive epidemiology describes disease in terms of three factors, people, place, and time. These are applied to this paper, which addresses childhood and adolescent obesity. Other topics include the statistics of childhood obesity, significance in terms of adverse health outcomes, and questions that could be used for a research study.
