The Status of Refugee under International Law

This international law paper is written in two parts. The first section examines international conventions, primarily the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and the 1967 Protocol and some consideration of the 1969 Organisation of African Unity Convention Concerning the Specific Aspects of Refugee Problems in Africa to determine if the current legal instruments are sufficient in the context of modern armed conflict. The second section examines a fictitious scenario, where different people for the same conflict are seeking the status of refugee, three in Europe and one in Africa. The paper is twenty two pages long and cited thirteen sources.
